I was talking with a friend about fs’s and we saw that lot of file systems implements repeated things, what change is only the file system layout.
And the questions is..it’s not possible implements a framework that we only write the layout for example, a simple fs:
<super_block_init = 0×8000>
<inode_uses = b+tree>
<inode_init = 0×32000>
It’s possible?
Finally i installed the Solaris in my notebook lenov 3000 n200.
The big problem was with the acpi that dont work correctly in non windows OS’s.
But right now everything is working.
who does university now that it’s lot of difficult “work” in a opensource project.
I`m right now without time to work in opensolaris jfs …but i hope get the code again in some weeks.
who do not know, i have a project in OpenSolaris about file systems.
So the aim of this project is re implement JFS in OpenSolaris and for me get more experience with OpenSolaris filesystems
